Diana Khayyata

Professional Profile

Diana is a governance advisor, advocacy strategist, communication and programme specialist with 14 years of experience at the intersection of fragile-state governance, humanitarian accountability, and institutional reform. Syrian-born and Netherlands-based, she brings rare dual fluency in Arabic, English, B1 Dutch and Turkish, and equally in the political languages of Brussels, The Hague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Damascus, and Gaziantep.

Her career spans senior roles with The White Helmets, PAX for Peace, (VNG International), and Creative Associates International, working across the EU and MENA region on assignments that combine rigorous analysis with direct field presence. She has led multi-donor programmes, managed consortia, briefed foreign ministries, and coordinated sensitive diplomatic engagements including field visits to Sednaya Prison and the Douma chemical attack sites.

This is not broad-based consultancy. It is MENA-specific, field-tested, and unreplicable from a desk. its governance structures, political economy, civil society, legal frameworks, and the communities navigating return, displacement, and reconstruction.

Fluent in Arabic, English, and Turkish, Diana operates effectively across cultural and institutional boundaries — a critical asset in complex, multi-stakeholder mandates.

Our Network

Levantina Consulting operates beyond a sole-practitioner model through a curated network of international associates with multidisciplinary expertise. This network spans civil society organisations, government agencies, senior government officials, and private sector specialists across the EU, MENA region, and North America.

This reach allows Levantina Consulting to deploy the right expertise for each mandate — combining strategic depth with on-the-ground knowledge and institutional access that few boutique advisory firms can offer.

About Levantina Consulting

Levantina Consulting is an independent advisory practice established in the Netherlands in 2026. It is the formal structure through which we deliver strategic advisory, interim management, and research services to public institutions, international organisations, and NGOs operating in complex environments.

The name is a deliberate choice. The Levant is not a backdrop — it is the subject of this work, and the source of the contextual authority that makes it credible.

Levantina Consulting is part of the broader Levantina ecosystem. Its sister company, Levantina Global Coöperatie U.A., operates as a women-led ethical trade practice connecting EU and MENA markets.

Both are founded and led by Diana Khayyata, and share a common commitment to regional integrity, women's economic empowerment, and accountability.
